Laparoscopic Band Surgery

Most of peoples know that lap band surgery is a weight loss surgical procedure for decreasing obesity but very few of them know what technique is used for surgical procedure. The surgical procedure is laparoscopic procedure, this is the main reason some peoples called lap band surgery as laparoscopic band surgery.

In olden days the lap band surgery is performed through open surgery method, in this a large (not much large) incursion is made on the abdomen of patient and then lap band is placed over the stomach. now days the lap band surgery is preformed through laparoscopic procedure. in laparoscopic band surgery five holes are made on the abdomen of patient. One for inserting the camera, second and third for inserting surgical instruments, fourth is for inserting lap band instrument and fifth last one for inserting torch for light.

Laparoscopic band surgery is simple and required very less time from open lap band surgery. The recovery time of laparoscopic lap band surgery is also less then open surgery. Now days almost all lap band surgery is done through laparoscopic technique.
